Nike conceptual and brand strategy
As the Copy Lead / Senior Copywriter for the Nike Design Studio team at AKQA, I helped lead a team of 20+ Sr. Copywriters, Sr. Designers, Art Directors, Project and Program Managers in the Portland office. I was one of only two Copy Leads on the Nike Design Studio team at AKQA, and I reported directly to the ECD for that office.
Additionally, it's worth noting for transparency that these creative samples were not briefed-in pitches or project asks that came from our clients. Instead, they were proactive, unsolicited ideas, lines, scripts and campaigns in response to moments in sport, culture, adversity and specific athlete's lives and careers.
These three campaigns were initially concepted, written, designed, produced and presented by me, but along the way I worked closely with a Sr. Designers, an Art Director and two Associate Creative Directors to visually and strategically sharpen them before they were presented internally to Nike Basketball clients at Nike WHQ.
